Right now, I'm absolutely torn between making amvs and playing Half-Life 2 and KOTOR II.
If you like first person shooters, I guarantee you will not be disapointed by Half-Life 2, it is AMAZING!!! The story is insane and the levels are sooo detailed and fun I've jsut been playing them over and over.
If you're more of an RPG fan, go for KOTOR II. It's star wars, and its got a pretty good story. My only complaint is that it takes a while to get your lightsaber, but I was still having way too much fun without a lightsaber running around with two massive swords... muahahahaha.....
those are the two I strongly recommend as of right now, when i beat them both... dunno, might get a little old, but I'm far from beating them yet ;p

Yeah, I've been seriously annoyed by that to. Anyway, as for games I'd reccomend for the computer, I'd go with Doom 3 if you don't mind the risk of getting scared . The graphics are on par with H-L2, but the light effects are better in Doom 3 if you ask me. It's also damn fun. If you like mindless hack & slash, I'd reccomend Diablo II and the expansion set, Lord of Destruction. It's still great fun when playing online and it has become a lot more challenging in the latest patch. My only complain is the complete lack of freedom =/. If you like big scale RPGs, I'd highly reccomend Morrowind (and probably Oblivion when that comes out), it's got a lot of freedom and the main story is nothign to complain about either. Besides, joining guilds is fun =). My only complain about this game is the suckish battle system. If you want a mix between these two, I'd reccomend Divine Divinity (haven't played the sequel more then 10 minutes so I can't really say if I reccomend that or not). It takes the viewpoint and battlesystem from Diablo II, and the freedom from Morrowind. It's a really cool game with some humor in it to. Though the end of it really sucks IMO, but to each his own. MMORPG's, I'd reccomend World of Warcraft, or anarchy online. Just search for 'em and you'll find enough info on 'em. That's all from me right now =). More to come later.
